Divers retrieved a number of bodies over the weekend and the death toll in the tragic incident has now reached 64. Anger flared in South Korea on Monday over fresh indications that the evacuation of a capsized ferry was delayed by panic and indecision, as hundreds are still missing.

"Precious minutes just wasted," ran the front page headline in the Dong-A Ilbo newspaper, in response to a communications transcript released Sunday revealing the confusion as the crew and marine traffic control debated evacuating the sinking vessel.

While an unidentified crew member repeatedly asked if there were coastguard vessels on hand to rescue anyone who abandoned ship, the marine controller insisted the crew check that passengers had donned lifejackets and extra clothes.

Missing Malaysian Flight MH370 These False Leads Were Biggest Disappointments

Malaysia on Sunday rejected claims that phone calls were made from missing Malaysia Airlines flight MH370 before it vanished, but refused to rule out any possibility in a so far fruitless investigation over the cause of the jet’s disappearance.

Well, after over a month since the Malaysian plane went missing, there have been several prominent leads which later were dashed. There is a frustrating long list of false leads in the effort to find the jet.

Here are the most prominent moments which raised the hopes of solving the mystery:

March 8: An hour after the Malaysian Airlines went missing, there were rumours on the Internet that the plane had landed safely at an airport in China. The rumours were however turned baseless soon. Later the same day, planes searching for the missing jet found oil slicks in the South China Sea but it was revealed later the oil was not from MH370.

The co-pilot of missing Malaysian airliner flight MH370 attempted to make a mid-flight call from his mobile phone just before the plane vanished from radar screens, a report said on Saturday citing unnamed investigators.

The call ended abruptly possibly "because the aircraft was fast moving away from the (telecommunications) tower", New Straits Times quoted a source as saying.

But the Malaysian daily also quoted another source saying that while Fariq Abdul Hamid's "line was reattached", there was no certainty that a call was made from the Boeing 777 that vanished on March 8.

Alien life? Artificial light spotted on Mars, rumours of UFO fly high

International News in English

As per pictures taken by Navcam (NAV_RIGHT_B) onboard NASA's Mars rover Curiosity on Sol 589 (2014-04-03 10:00:03 UTC) a source of bright light has been spotted on the Martian surface. This is not coming from sun, nor from any other source. With this picture rumours of possibility of alien life on Mars are flying high on Internet.

According to UFO Sighting Daily, “This could indicate there is intelligent life below the ground and uses light as we do. This is not a glare from the sun, nor is it an artifact of the photo process. Look closely at the bottom of the light. It has a very flat surface giving us 100% indication it is from the surface.”

Barack Obama's WARNING: Americans Beware Of India And China

Daily International News

United States President Barack Obama has said that Americans are facing competition from India and China and exuded confidence that young Americans can match or exceed anything that they do.

“You guys are all coming up in an age where you’re not going to be able to compete with people across town for good jobs -- you’re going to be competing with the rest of the world. Young people in India and China, they’re all interested in trying to figure out how they get a foothold in this world economy,” Obama said while addressing students in Maryland on Monday.

“That’s who you’re competing against. Now, I’m confident you can match or exceed anything they do, but we don’t do it by just resting on what we’ve done before. We’ve got to out-work and out-innovate and out-hustle everybody else.

Missing MH370 Search: Australian, Chinese Ships Detect Unidentified Signals

International News

Australian and Chinese ships, engaged in scanning the missing Malaysian Airlines jet MH370 reportedly detected pulse signals, which could have potentially come from the flight’s black box.

Australian search authorities said on Sunday a Chinese patrol vessel, the Haixun 01, had picked up a fleeting "ping" signal twice in recent days in waters west of Perth, near where investigators believe Malaysia Airlines Flight MH370 went down on March 8.

More planes and ships were being sent to assist in that area, but meanwhile, Australia's HMAS Ocean Shield had reported a separate "acoustic event" some 300 nautical miles away.

The Ocean Shield is carrying sophisticated US Navy equipment designed to pick up signals sent from the black boxes, which may hold the key to why the aircraft ended up thousands of kilometres off course.
